In December 2018 I joined the fight to help save the Barmah Brumbies. These wild horses have been at home in the Barmah National Park in Victoria, Australia for over 100 years. Ancestors have been to war with our service heroes, helped clear the land for agriculture and worked in the logging industry. Now our governments are trying to eradicate them. This time by over flooding the Murray River at Barmah bring loss of feed and unclean drinking water resulting in starvation – literally. Many horses have starved to a agonising death while many more have been euthenised by the same government. My wife and I have joined the many hard working volunteers who have been feeding donated hay to these animals and have saved the herds – for now.
